The Tilden family has long been associated with the automotive repair industry and is dedicated to providing customers with superior workmanship. S.G. Tilden, Inc. was founded by the late Sydney G. Tilden in 1923.
In 1966, Sydney G. Tilden awarded franchises to existing, loyal store managers. During the following 31 years, only two franchises were added to the chain, one to a loyal employee who worked for Tilden for more than 20 years, and a second to a long time vendor and supplier.
From 1923 to 1995, the family-owned company was known as Tilden for Brakes and had a reputation for excellence in the car brake business. Over the years, Tilden has expanded into the total car care concept, where it has remained a leader to this day.
Tilden Associates, Inc. is now a publicly traded company under the symbols TLDN. Tilden Associates, Inc. is the sole franchiser of automobile and truck repair service centers under the name Tilden for Brakes Car Care Centers™. |
